School Exploration Camp

A 3 day nature exploration camp package for Primary School students.

We have designed this camp to be full of fun outdoors and nature connection activities to maximise learning opportunities for your tamariki. The Whenua Iti team will take care of camp logistics, minimising school organisation load and giving teachers more time to connect with students.

Outline of Activities

Set up camp & tackle a series of exciting WIO challenges on site such as flying kiore and trapeze, take part in our fun Adventure Based Learning (ABL) games to test your teamwork, be transported to Kaiteretere for a day of coastal exploration while rock-pooling, building waka and paddleboarding or sit on top kayaking and learn about the rhythms of the moana and tides. Tamariki will also explore local ngahere, with shelter-building and key survival learnings woven into fun activities while learning about the world of Tanemahuta. All activities are facilitated by our experienced team of educators. View Example Programme Schedule.
