Build on a love of the outdoors by learning technical and practical outdoor skills in a team environment while exploring Te Tauihu.
Participants have the opportunity of completing 5 Level 2 NCEA credits on this programme.
This programme will introduce students to the outdoors in a fun and supportive environment, where they will be encouraged to overcome various challenges to build their knowledge and confidence for future independence in the outdoors. The programme will run as a four-day block, supported by our skilled instructors.
The activities offered on this programme could be camping, tramping, navigation & bush skills. Students do not need prior experience in the outdoors to take part and all adventure equipment is provided. A great attitude and a reasonable level of fitness is all you need!

Learning Objectives
Students will have the opportunity to achieve academic learning objectives that contribute to their National Certificate of Education Achievement (NCEA) and develop crucial personal and social development skills.
This curriculum is a great pathway into the Whenua Iti Outdoors Trades Academy programme – Adventure Skills Development Level 3.
