New year, new adventure, new skills…
Adventure Skills Academy is a multi-activity, residential, adventure training programme for January 2018 featuring 9 days and 8 nights of awesome adventures. The skills based programme provides the perfect platform to build your outdoors expertise and even, for those who are keen, a sound foundation for adventure racing skills. Plus, there’s the added bonus of the option to acheive up to 15 NCEA Level 3 credits giving you the perfect kick start to 2018.
The programme is a new offering from Whenua Iti Outdoors and is already starting to fill up with young people who are excited about having some fantastic experiences to start the new year. It starts on the 17th of January and will include activities such as sea kayaking, rock climbing, caving, bush survival, adventure racing skills, navigation and more. Participants will explore the varied terrain of the Nelson-Tasman region from the high mountains right down to the sea. For those who live out of the region, Nelson Airport pick ups and drop offs are available making this an great opportunity wherever you are in New Zealand.
The cost is $1600 per person and includes all food, equipment, programme transport and tuition – if you are keen to come you can also take advantange of our payment plan and make small installments right up until the start of the course.
