Every 3 years we are audited by NZQA though a process called EER – (External Evaluation Review – a bit like a school ERO review). EER ensures we meet the standards required to be an NZQA assessor and covers 2 focus areas, “Education Performance” and “Capability in Self-Assessment”. In both these areas, WIO score the highest possible grade – “Highly Confident”. This is an amazing endorsement of the organisation and we are both excited and grateful to be able to share this news – thanks to everyone who has supported us as this success is the result of a whole community effort – very few organisations achieve excellence in all areas of assessment.
The audit focuses on 6 main areas and in each area ( see table below) we achieved the highest grade, “Excellence”. Educational Performance covers the educational and delivery aspects of our work, Self-Assessment focuses on our ability to learn and reflect and incorporate feedback into future programmes.
