Duke of Edinburgh at WIO
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Aotearoa | Hillary Award is part of a global education framework that has been encouraging people to dream big and discover their potential for over 60 years. The Award is open to anyone aged 14-24 and has 4 key areas: learn a new skill (or develop an existing one), get physically active, give service to their communities, and take part in an adventure, with the addition of a residential project at Gold Level.
WIO is able to help you with the Adventurous Journey training and assessment to help you on your way to achieving the award – tramping, sea kayaking, bush skills, navigation – we have a wide variety of options for your adventure at all levels of the award.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is the world’s leading youth achievement award and has transformed the lives of millions of young people since it first began.
