Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Aotearoa | Hillary Award is part of a global education framework that has been encouraging people to dream big and discover their potential for over 60 years. The Award is open to anyone aged 14-24 and has 4 key areas: learn a new skill (or develop an existing one), get physically active, give service to their communities, and take part in an adventure, with the addition of a residential project at Gold Level.
WIO is able to help you with the Adventurous Journey training and assessment to help you on your way to achieving the award – tramping, sea kayaking, bush skills, navigation – we have a wide variety of options for your adventure at all levels of the award.
