For international students, a range of factors contribute to, and impact on a meaningful experience. These may include knowledge, language, capability, time or personal experience. Our ability to be flexible means that adventure and cultural experiences can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of your international students.
Programme Concepts
Let us fulfil your international students goals of experiencing New Zealand's world famous outdoors in a safe and educational format. Added to this Whenua Iti Outdoors can facilitate insights to our indigenous culture that will provide our international guests with a truly rich and unique experience.
By creating situations that encourage teamwork we can help your students support each other positively, get to know one another, form relationships and learn about themselves. Programmes are designed in conjunction with the needs of each school and can be half day through to multi-day options, including overnights.
Orientation Programmes
The Whenua Iti Outdoors Orientation programmes are designed to create a environment where your students will bond, form friendships and create relationships quickly. This will create a foundation for a great New Zealand experience.
School Holiday Programmes
School Holiday Programmes are for those students who are looking to make the most of their exchange by spending their school holidays exploring the region. We can create a programme that takes in the best of the region, while at the same time providing valuable learning and a safe, structured experience.
Experience New Zealand
For a true cultural exchange we can create a programme that shows off the beautiful natural environment and our unique cultural values. Your students can spend time immersed in local cultural traditions including our local Kaupapa and learning waiata, mau rakau and waka ama.
Other programmes
Your international students are also welcome to join us as individuals on any of the school programmes we currently offer including; our STAR, Journey and Trades Academy programmes.
